Lalaine Vitug-Pacis, MD
Dr. Lalaine Vitug-Pacis, often known as “Dr. VP,” has been a cornerstone of Pediatric Associates of Arlington Heights since 1995, bringing decades of expertise and leadership to her practice. A graduate of Rush University Medical College, she stayed at Rush to complete her residency and was honored to serve as Chief Resident, a testament to her dedication to providing outstanding care.
As a mother of three grown sons, Dr. VP understands the parenting journey from sleepless newborn nights to the milestones of young adulthood. She takes a partnership approach with families, offering empathetic, practical guidance tailored to each child’s unique needs. Watching her patients grow—from infants to young adults, and even seeing them return with their own children—is one of the greatest joys of her career.
Outside of the office, Dr. VP is full of surprises. She holds a fourth-degree black belt in karate and enjoys kickboxing to stay active. When she’s not cheering on her favorite sports teams, she loves traveling with her family, exploring diverse cuisines, and giving back to the community. Dr. VP volunteers as a Eucharistic Minister, supports her local food pantry, and contributes to “Mats for the Homeless.”
Her professional achievements include serving as Chair of Pediatrics at Northwest Community Hospital, over two decades of service at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, and being named a Chicago Parent Magazine “Favorite Kids Doc.”
With her warm, approachable demeanor and deep expertise, Dr. VP creates a nurturing environment for families, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Whether she’s helping you through a sick visit or celebrating a milestone, Dr. VP is dedicated to your child’s health and happiness.
Kiera Iannantuoni, MD
Dr. Kiera Iannantuoni has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, research-driven pediatric care that empowers families. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa inductee), she earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Chicago Children’s Hospital, where she was honored with prestigious awards, including Senior Resident of the Year. Since joining Pediatric Associates of Arlington Heights in 2003, she has become a trusted partner for families navigating their children’s health journey.
As a mom of two active boys, Dr. Iannantuoni brings her parenting perspective to every interaction, helping parents feel confident and informed about their decisions. She loves watching her patients grow from newborns to thriving young adults, and she has a special talent for connecting with kids, often inspired by their honesty and humor.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find Dr. Iannantuoni cheering at her sons’ sports games, exploring Chicago’s vibrant art and culture, gardening, or spending time with family and friends.

Rosanne Kason, MD
Dr. Rosanne Kason provides evidence-based pediatric care with a calm and compassionate approach. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, magna cum laude. She earned her medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. As a senior resident, she received the Carol G. Ragsdale, MD award for outstanding compassion for patients and dedication to pediatrics. She has served on the Quality Improvement Committee at Northwest Community Hospital.
Since joining Pediatric Associates of Arlington Heights in 2006, she has been a trusted partner for families, providing thoughtful and comprehensive care. Dr. Kason has a special talent for truly listening to parents’ concerns and addressing them with patience and clarity, creating an environment where families feel supported at every stage of their child’s growth. She finds joy in the resilience, honesty, and curiosity of her young patients, making every interaction meaningful and rewarding.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Kason enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her son's Little League baseball games, vacationing in Northern Michigan, and watching British mystery shows.

Melissa Turner, MD
Dr. Melissa Turner is passionate about empowering parents with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the highs and lows of parenting with confidence. Combining research-based guidance with real-world understanding, she helps families make informed decisions that lead to healthier, happier outcomes. Dr. Turner’s approachable style ensures that expert medical advice feels accessible and tailored to each family’s unique needs.
Dr. Turner’s journey to pediatrics began with her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, where she received numerous awards for academic excellence including a Chemistry scholarship, and was chosen as the Anthropology Department's Senior Award winner. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and then completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where her passion for quality improvement and medical ethics flourished. Today, she’s not only a trusted pediatrician at Pediatric Associates of Arlington Heights but also an active contributor to healthcare innovation as the Chairperson of the Community Connect Governance Committee at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Outside of work, Dr. Turner spends her time with her husband, their two daughters, and their playful and (usually well behaved) rescue dogs, Gryff and Goose. She loves to travel, and is looking forward to sharing more first trips to locations around the world with her children (and sneaking in a trip or two to Disney World as well!)

Allissa Sun, MD
Dr. Allissa Sun is known for her infectious enthusiasm and ability to create genuine connections with her patients and their families. Growing up in West Virginia, she dreamed of a career where she could combine her love for kids with her passion for helping others. After earning her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, she returned to her home state for medical school at West Virginia University before completing her pediatric residency at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Sun thrives on celebrating the growth of her patients and their parents, providing compassionate, expert care at every stage of childhood. Whether she’s caring for a newborn or guiding parents through the toddler years, her goal is to be a dependable resource, helping families navigate the joys and challenges of parenting with confidence. She has special interests in newborn care, vaccinations, and fostering long-term relationships with her patients.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Sun’s love of adventure and the wild outdoors shines through. She’s an avid backpacker, hiker, and tennis player, with a soft spot for all things Disney. She also enjoys spending time with her family - especially playing silly games with her adorable niece!
